My father passed away in 2014. To grief my sorrow I have used some of his ashes in a painting process. In a picture that featured him for me the most: an hourglass, he always had time.
My mother was a number of weekends with me in my Studio. To paint her own painting. With a bit of her beloved husband in it. This was a nice process. For herself and also for us together. With my help, she has created a work of art wich is important for her. Values and features him. And keeps my father in memory.
Askunst. The name says it all Art with ash. The ashes of a loved one can be processed in a statue. Or in a picture. This can be both visible and invisible.
Not only the ashes of a partner, parent or child or anyone. Also the ashes of a beloved pet can be processed in an art object.
To keep them remembered.. Close to hold ... As part of the bereavement ...
Attaching the ashes can be done with me or by me. On a place in the statue or on the canvas where you wish.
